Alabama football came into its SEC opener against Georgia without linebacker Jah-Marien Latham , who was later ruled out for the rest of the 2025 season with a neck injury.

The Crimson Tide also lost Qua Russaw in its 24-21 win against the Bulldogs with a broken foot, which will sideline the linebacker for "an extended time," per head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Creativity is vital to the Crimson Tide's defense's ability to survive moving forward, Wommack said.
