JEFFERSON, Iowa —

You often hear that the players and coaches on a sports team are family. For Greene County head football coach Caden Duncan, it's not just a saying, it's a statement of fact.

On Duncan's staff are both his father, Jim Duncan, and his father-in-law, Jeff Kruse.

"They've both been very good working with me," Caden said.

Both assistants are longtime football coaches in central Iowa and decided to join Caden's staff after he took over the Greene County program.

"It's awesome," Jim said. "It's every dad's dream to be able to stay involved in their child's life."

"You can't miss the opportunity to be coaching with your son-in-law," Kruse said.
