NALA launched its fifth annual Literacy Liftoff Friday at Missouri Southern State University as a way for families to learn more about the organization and the role it plays in the community.
“I think of this as you’re taking off into your literacy journey,” said Kaden Propps, executive director of Neighborhood Adult Literacy Action. “Just like the hot air balloon itself, the more that you grow, you take off further into the air. The more knowledge that you have, the more time and energy that you put into gaining your literacy levels, the higher you’re going to go.” ×
