Just days after Via Rail announced a three-month pilot project that would have halted service in Kingston, Brockville, Belleville and Cornwall, the crown corporation has announced that it is postponing the plan due to “operational constraints.”
The project was initially launched to test demand for faster travel between Montreal and Toronto. It was to impact Via Rail trains 60, 61, 68 and 69.
