ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A former Avon police trainee will spend more than nine years in prison after being convicted of possessing child pornography and cyberstalking, according to the United States Attorney's Office.
Federal prosecutors said 34-year-old Casey Medina of Rochester was sentenced Monday to nine years in prison and is ordered to pay $12,000 in restitution.
Investigators said they executed a search warrant on Medina’s phone in August 2024 and recovered about 360 images of child pornography, including at least one involving a prepubescent child subjected to violence.
