State troopers and ICE agents apprehended more than 125 undocumented immigrants during an Operation Guardian sweep in western Oklahoma, the governor's office announced Monday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol partnered with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the targeted sweep along Interstate 40 as part of Operation Guardian, according to a Sept. 29 news release from Gov. Kevin Stitt. The operation is part of a broader, comprehensive deportation plan announced by Stitt earlier this year and led by Oklahoma Commissioner of Public Safety Tim Tipton.

Stitt's office said the undocumented immigrants were from the countries of China, Georgia, India, Mauritania, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
