Chicago Bears defensive lineman Grady Jarrett and his wife, Aja, in late May paid $4.25 million for an eight-bedroom, 18,241-square-foot mansion in Vernon Hills.
An Atlanta native, Jarrett, 32, had a 10-year career with his hometown Atlanta Falcons before the Falcons released him in March. Two days later, he signed a three-year, $43.5 million deal with the Bears.
In Vernon Hills, Jarrett and Aja bought their mansion through an opaque land trust that masks its beneficiary’s identities. Built in 2014 and situated on a 2.12-acre property, the mansion has 10,874 square feet above grade, 10-1/2 bathrooms and 10 fireplaces. Features include a first-floor office with a private terrace, a second-floor primary bedroom suite with a private terrace and a marble en suite bath with a see-through fire
