ST. LOUIS - A teen has been taken into custody in relation to the deadly Schnucks shooting that happened on the 3400 block of Union Boulevard on Sept. 21.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) says a 17-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder. According to SLMPD, the shooting happened around 3:10 p.m. in the Schnucks Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood, involving an altercation between two individuals.
Police said the 17-year-old suspect pulled out a gun and fatally shot the victim, now later identified as 20-year-old Henry Armstrong. Officials also said the suspect fled the scene after the shooting.
According to SLMPD’s website, the teen remains in custody, and their investigation into the homicide remains ongoing.
