MISSOURI - Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) has issued an Amber Alert Monday evening in relation to a carjacking in Sunset Hills, Missouri.

According to MSHP, 30-year-old man approached a mother, asking for assistance in jumpstarting his vehicle. Officials say their person-of-interest, identified as 30-year-old Jacob Putman, allegedly took the mother's vehicle with the child, a 2-year-old girl, still inside the back seat.

Alongside Putman, MSHP is searching for a dark blue 2016 Chevrolet that has a "GL1C0H" license plate. Putman is described as a white male who is 5'10" and weighs 160 pounds.
