ST. LOUIS - Investigators are trying to piece together a motive following a deadly shooting at a Mormon church in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Four people were killed and eight others were wounded in the attack during Sunday morning services.

Investigators say the gunman, Thomas Sanford, a 40-year-old former marine drove his truck into the church before opening fire on worshipers and burning the building to the ground.

He was killed in a shootout with police.
