A new 107-room hotel is planned to be built in southwest Phoenix.
A Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is slated to be built on a 2 acres of what is now farmland at the southwest corner of Loop 101 and Thomas Road. It is part of several development projects west of Loop 101 in the area.
Developers received preliminary site plan approval for the hotel from the city of Phoenix on Friday morning.
The hotel will be five stories and 107 rooms with 114 parking spaces. The building footprint will be 13,682 square feet with a total square footage of 65,999.
