MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A second man was arrested over the weekend in a carjacking last month outside a Midtown movie theater that left a woman body slammed, records show.

Jamarion Robinson, 20, was charged with carjacking and evading arrest in connection to an attack outside the Overton Square Malco movie theater on Aug. 13, 2025.

The woman — whom police had previously described as "elderly" — suffered a lung contusion and a concussion. The attack was highlighted by President Donald Trump as he signed a memorandum earlier this month to create the the Memphis Safe Task Force aimed at "restoring law and order" in the city.
