Chicago burglary: Person of interest in custody after CPD squad cars broken into near 52nd Street, Wentworth Avenue in Fuller Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are questioning a person of interest, who might be connected to some break-ins involving police squad cars.

This happened about 11:35 p.m. Sunday at a secured parking lot near 52nd Street and Wentworth Avenue on the South Side.

That's right next to the Second District CPD station.

Detectives say the burglars got away with some unknown items.

Police did not immediately provide any additional information about the person of interest or any other suspects who were involved.

CPD continues to investigate and did not give any other information.
