NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston Police Chief Ron Camacho released information on Monday regarding a juvenile detained at a CVS last week.
Officers with the North Charleston Police Department were called to the CVS at 5215 Ashley Phosphate Road on the afternoon of Thursday, September 25.
A 911 caller said a male was inside the store yelling profanities and allegedly threatened staff. The caller also reported that the suspect could be armed with a knife.
When responding officers arrived, they came in contact with a juvenile who matched the suspect description.
According to Chief Camacho, the minor was uncooperative and resisted when police tried to detain him. Officers did manage to detain the suspect, and he was not injured during the incident, he said.
