FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - High temperatures both Saturday and Sunday were within a few degrees of 90º! In fact, on Sunday we tied the hottest September 28th at 89º. The last time this happened was in 1999.

Record-tying or record-setting warmth does not look likely going forward, though it will still be unseasonably warm.

Highs Tuesday will soar into the low to mid 80s, with slightly cooler highs in the 70s Wednesday. The “cool” break will be short lived as highs return to around 80º Thursday, and then the mid 80s by the end of the week and the entire weekend!

Abundant sunshine, and no rain, is expected over the next seven days and, quite possibly, beyond!
