The Dodgers postseason begins with the wild card round at Dodger Stadium, batting the Cincinnati Reds in the opener of a best-of-3 series on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
It’s the second postseason meeting between these two teams, 30 years apart. In 1995, the Reds swept away the Dodgers in three games in the National League Division Series. This season, the Dodgers won five of six games against the Reds, and outscored them 30-15 along the way.
Blake Snell will try to keep that run prevention going for the Dodgers, a strength of the team over both the last month and final third of the season. Snell gets the start in Game 1 on Tuesday night. Hunter Greene starts for the Reds, about 16 miles from where he went to high school in Sherman Oaks.
Joe Kelly will throw the ceremonial first pitch
