The East Baton Rouge Coroner has released the final autopsy results of a Kenner native killed in a hazing ritual earlier this year.

According to the autopsy reports, Wilson's manner of death was ruled a homicide, and his cause of death was commotio cordis, or blunt force trauma to the chest.

This comes just days after his family filed a wrongful death lawsuit in civil court against Omega Psi Phi fraternity and Southern University.

The lawsuit alleges the fraternity has a "known and pervasive risk of hazing."

The lawsuit also claims the chapter entrusted untrained and ill-equipped graduates to oversee recruitment.
