BEAUMONT, Texas — The Beaumont Police Department has launched a new program designed to help locate and protect some of the city’s most vulnerable residents, including those living with dementia, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other conditions that make communication or navigation difficult.

The “Take Me Home” program collects key information that can help officers respond faster in emergencies. Families can register their loved ones by providing a current photo, a physical description, medical needs, emergency contacts, and calming strategies.
