WEBSTER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited a Minden man for an alleged mourning dove hunting violation on Sept. 9, 2025, in Webster Parish.

Agents were on patrol when they responded to an area where they heard gunshots near Camp Minden.

That is where they found a man actively hunting doves after already being in possession of 27 freshly harvested mourning doves.

Agents cited the man for taking over the limit of mourning doves after finding him 12 mourning doves over the legal limit.

The daily legal limit for mourning doves, white-winged doves and fully dressed Eurasian collared and ringed turtle doves is 15 in total.
