NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) -- The town of Normal announced that a bridge and part of the Constitution Trail underneath it will close on Thursday.

The Camelback Bridge will close starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday for maintenance, Public Works and Engineering Assistant Supervisor Dan Wallem said.

The closure will include East Virginia Avenue from Hillcrest Street to South Linden Street and West Virginia Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Broadway to Hillcrest Streets.

Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution when driving in the area or consider finding alternative routes.

Wallem said the roads are expected to reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday.
