(WTAJ) -- A mass shooting at The American Fish Company in Southport, North Carolina, over the weekend left three people dead and five others injured, including a business owner from Blair County.
Police have identified the shooter as Nigel Edge, a decorated Marine combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient, who allegedly carried out a 'highly premeditated' attack by opening fire with an assault rifle from a boat.
"Nobody thinks that it can happen; we all think that it will never happen to us. But to experience that tragedy, it was insane," Tammy Huff, an Altoona native who was injured in the shooting, said.
