MADISON (WKOW) -- A man who investigators say shot his girlfriend in the head pleaded guilty to first-degree intentional homicide on Monday.
The case against Terrence Davis, 44, of Madison, was scheduled to go to trial Monday morning. Instead, Davis took a last-minute plea deal, agreeing to plead guilty to the homicide charge. The court dismissed a pending firearm charge as part of the agreement.
Prosecutors said Davis killed Mikayla Rogers , 25, of Madison, in August 2024. He admitted to police that he shot her at his apartment after an argument between the two of them and another man whom Rogers had been seeing. Rogers and Davis were romantically involved at the time of her death.
