Several vehicles were damaged or destroyed in Nanaimo Monday afternoon after a crash on Third Street, sending the driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident began around 1 p.m. between Watfield and Wakesiah avenues, noted Ret. Const. Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP in a release.
Police, fire and BC Emergency Health Services responded. Based on evidence, O’Brien said it appears the suspect vehicle, a full size white newer model pickup, was proceeding westbound along Third Street when the driver suddenly lost control of his vehicle and drove into numerous parked vehicles.
