Sections of the Pioneer Mill will be 'carefully demolished' following a huge blaze at the building.
A firefighter has been left with serious injuries after they were part of the emergency service response to the site on Milltown Street.
According to the fire service, they were hurt when part of the building collapsed at Pioneer Mill in Radcliffe , Bury , on Saturday evening (September 27). Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said that the firefighter remains in hospital for treatment.
In an update regarding the incident, GMFRS say that a plan is in place to demolish 'unstable sections' of the building on Tuesday (September 30). Firefighters remain at Pioneer Mill to secure the area and dampen any hot spots.
