SPRINGFIELD — Rental car company Hertz is opening a location in Springfield Union Station in time for the busy holiday travel season.

The Hertz service will round out the Springfield Redevelopment Authority’s vision for Union Station as a full-service intermodal transportation hub, the authority said in a statement.
