The people who live here know that fall in New Mexico has fabulous weather. And it's an especially good time to enjoy it.

Until April 30, New Mexico residents won't have to pay an entrance fee at most state parks, and resident campers will be able to stay for free up to 14 consecutive days. All that's needed is to show a valid ID with a New Mexico address.

This does not include parking fees at the Rio Grande Nature Center and the Living Desert Zoo & Garden.

Information about the 35 state parks in New Mexico is available online at emnrd.nm.gov.
