New Orleans authorities released the name of the Chicago woman who was fatally shot while celebrating her birthday as the search continued for the person responsible.

Jessica Williams, 33, was shot and killed early Sunday morning on the famous Bourbon Street, according to the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office. Williams was an innocent bystander who was visiting the area to celebrate her birthday, police said.

Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said a total of four people were wounded in a "shootout" that began with a fight. Williams, who was one of those injured, died at the scene.
