CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 21-year-old Cleveland man was fatally shot early Sunday outside Punch Bowl Social in the Flats.

Zai Vyon Frederick Ocie Jackson died at the scene after officers working bar-closing details heard gunfire about 2:30 a.m. near the bar at 1086 W. 11th St., according to the office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner.

Police found Jackson outside the bar and provided aid before paramedics pronounced him dead.

A 24-year-old man, whom police also consider a suspect, was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital. Cleveland police spokesman Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz said it remains unclear whether charges will be filed against him.

Investigators believe the shooting began as an argument between two people.
