DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - A Dubuque man is facing multiple charges after investigators say he barricaded himself in a woman’s home and stabbed a sheriff’s deputy.
At approximately 7:17 a.m. Saturday, authorities responded to a man who was trying to break into a woman’s house in Dubuque.
The man, identified as 35-year-old Corey Ary, of Dubuque, had multiple warrants out for his arrest in Dubuque County.
When deputies arrived to arrest Ary, he barricaded himself inside the woman’s bedroom.
Ary started swinging a switch blade at deputies when they tried to get inside the room. He then stabbed a deputy in the arm.
He was taken into custody shorty after, and the deputy was taken to the hospital for a stab wound.
