HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) -- Two men were shot at least twice in a Hoover apartment complex Monday evening.

According to Hoover Police Cpt. Keith Czeskleba, the shooting happened before 6 p.m. at The Haven Apartment Homes in the 2900 block of Chace Lake Drive. The men who were shot were taken to UAB Hospital. Police did not mention their conditions.

Czeskleba stated the suspect fled the scene. As of 7:45 p.m. Monday, Hoover police officers and Jefferson County deputies are searching for the suspect.
