LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A well-known Kentucky bourbon distillery is celebrating a huge milestone. Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort has filled its nine millionth barrel of bourbon since Prohibition.

Buffalo Trace Distillery has plenty of reasons to celebrate.

“We celebrate the nine millionth barrel coming out of this distillery since prohibition,” said Tyler Adams, homeplace manager of Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Through the years, Buffalo Trace has established itself as a popular stop along Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail. Just less than three years ago, the distillery celebrated its eight millionth barrel.
