TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Just two weeks remain in the high school softball season in Georgia. October 13th is when postseason play begins.

Teams are busy wrapping up regular season play. The Lowndes Vikettes host senior night tomorrow night, on Monday, they hosted Thomasville High in a battle of teams down the 84 corridor.

The visitors took a 5-1 to the fifth inning, when Lowndes began to chip away. Two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth had them trailing by one entering the seventh and final inning.

In the bottom on the seventh, Lowndes loaded the bases with no outs, but the Bulldogs worked out of the jam holding on to the 5-4 lead. With two outs, and the bases still loaded, Kloe McKnight hit a chopper to third. The throw to first was wild, allowing two runs to score and the Vike
