SEATTLE — A massive weekend of sports is about to descend on Seattle, with three of the city’s professional teams scheduled to play within blocks of each other.

The Seattle Mariners will host their first playoff games since 2022, taking the field at T-Mobile Park on Saturday and Sunday. Just across the street, the Seahawks are slated for a Sunday afternoon kickoff at Lumen Field. And on Saturday evening, the Sounders host their rivals, the Portland Timbers, in a nationally watched match.

The convergence of games raises logistical questions — particularly on Sunday, when as many as 65,000 fans could pack into Lumen Field while more than 45,000 fill T-Mobile Park.
