The long-awaited run
BUTLER TWP — Shannon McGraw went to Alameda Park Saturday morning, Sept. 27, with Hattie McGraw, 20, Lydia McGraw, 6, and Brielyn Relihan, 9, each dressed in clean clothes. By the time they left, they were covered in mud, color and foam which they acquired during a hot 2-mile run through the park.
Despite the mess the family members found themselves in, Shannon McGraw said the children had been looking forward to the day the entire year so they could once again take on the Tuff Tornado Run through Alameda Park.
Lydia said the foam was her favorite part of the race. Brielyn said it was running through paint, and Hattie McGraw said army crawling under an obstacle was her favorite part.
