BELTSVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) -- In Prince George’s County Monday night, dozens of parents got the opportunity to meet and greet with the school system's superintendent and ask him questions.

Dr. Shawn Joseph said any time he has the chance to hear concerns from parents, he always makes himself available.

“In my first 66 days, what I realized is we must improve special education, we must address our multi-lingual learners, and we have to focus on reading and mathematics,” Joseph said.

The Superintendent, along with Board members and staff, met with parents at Martin Luther King Jr Middle School from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in Beltsville.
