ARCHBALD, Pa. — In the basement of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Archbald , hundreds of residents crowded together, raising concerns about the borough's new proposed zoning law regarding data centers.
Kayleigh Cornell of Archbald says, "Who here wants 6 data centers in Archbald?" The crowd replies "No!"
Cornell says, "Who here wants to limit the number of data centers?" The crowd replies, "Yes!"
But the new law does introduce limitations, such as confining data center development to the four zones highlighted on the borough map in blue, as well as adding a minimum size to how small a data center can be. This is to stop smaller data centers from being built everywhere.
