MOREHEAD, Ky. (FOX 56) — It's been over a week since Kayla Blake and Kennedi McWhorter were found dead inside their home in Morehead.

Kentucky State Police arrested Joshua Cottrell at a McCracken County hospital and was arrested and charged him with two counts of murder and tampering with physical evidence.

On Monday, Cottrell's public defender entered a not guilty plea for him virtually from the Montgomery County Regional Jail.

The courtroom was filled with loved ones of Kennedi and Kayla in support to plead for justice as they continue to honor them.
