I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal who seldom agrees with Gov. Patrick Morrisey. But we agree on strongly condemning the murder of Charlie Kirk. We are all children of God, including Charlie Kirk, and have the right to live in freedom and not be shot to death for our political beliefs.

Kirk was a conservative stalwart on social issues, driven by his right-wing evangelical roots, his faith. I disagreed with almost all of his extremist positions. But he believed in the free exchange of ideas, not something many on the right or left still endorse.
