GOLD HILL — While rain might have changed how many people attended the annual Gold Hill Founders Day or when they arrived, the day was still a good one.
The event was held Sept. 27 beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 5 p.m. at Gold Hill Mines Historic Park and Village of Gold Hill.
Vivian Hopkins, who served as coordinator and a member of the event committee that organizes the day and as vice-president of the Historic Foundation, said the rain scared away a few early in the day, “but we’ve recovered I think. We’ve had a good turnout. It’s been a great day and we’re just so fortunate to have everybody come out.”
