High-speed motorcycle chase ends in mechanical failure

Deputies from Wayne, Lenoir, and Onslow counties were involved in a high-speed chase with a motorcyclist who sped as fast as 180 mph along Interstate 795 into Goldsboro.

Christopher Pennington, 42, of Kenly, was charged with felony to elude arrest, reckless driving, and other traffic-related offenses, according to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office records.
