NEW DELHI: Heavy rains lashed parts of Delhi-NCR on Tuesday morning, potentially affecting ongoing Durga Puja celebrations and Ramlila events across the city. The sudden downpour caused waterlogging in several areas, leading to traffic congestion and disruption of festive activities. In response to the downpour, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) upgraded its rain alert from ‘yellow’ to ‘orange’, indicating the possibility of moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching up to 40 kmph over the next few hours.
