CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- A Cleveland Heights woman believes that paying her apartment rent entitles her to make as much noise as she wants, when she wants.
At 3:40 a.m. Sept. 18, police received a third complaint in less than an hour from an apartment building at 2742 Noble Road. The complaints were that a seventh-floor woman was playing excessively loud music and was also singing loudly out of her unit’s window.
Police arrived to hear music from outside that was described as playing at an unreasonable volume. Officers got the woman’s attention and told her that she would be cited if police had to return once again.
The woman, 33, was defiant and said that because she pays rent, she could play music and sing as loud as she wants, whenever she wants.
