The Eagles are giving fans exactly what they want: wins with something to complain about.
The reigning Super Bowl champions are 4-0. The Eagles have beaten the Cowboys, Chiefs, Rams and Buccaneers — three playoff teams and an NFC East rival. Through four weeks of the season, only two teams remain undefeated: the Birds and the Bills. Pretty good.
And yet, there are still issues to correct. Kevin Patullo’s offense has yet to string together four quarters of coherent, efficient ball. Saquon Barkley is nowhere close to the record-shattering rushing numbers he put up a year ago. And A.J. Brown is out here posting cryptic messages.
So not everything is perfect in south Philly. But the Eagles are in a far better place overall than they were this time last year coming back from Tampa Bay.
