A LOW cost airline will suspend about 40 routes and drop service to two airports after filing for bankruptcy for the second time in a year.
It comes as Spirit scrambles to cut costs and restructure its operations following its filing in August.
The Dania Beach-based airline's CEO Rana Ghosh added Spirit will end its service from Hartford's Bradley International Airport (BDL) on October 31.
It will also no longer land at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport from December 1.
It comes just weeks after Spirit dropped service to 11 airports in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Birmingham, Alabama; Boise, Idaho; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; Oakland, California; Portland, Oregon; Sacramento, California; Salt Lake City; San Diego; and San Jose, California.
Spirit said
