MENTOR, Ohio (WJW) -- A local school district apologized to parents for "late notice" closure, which came at about 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
According to a post on the Mentor Schools Facebook page, all district schools would be closed Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, due to a "large number of absences" in the transportation department.
As a result, school officials said bus drivers were not able to cover all routes.
"We realize this may cause an inconvenience, but we do not have the staff available to transport all of our students to school and from school today," read the post. "We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work through this challenge. Thank you."
