CROWN POINT — Crown Point has one of the state's best outside hitters in Elle Schara.

Elle Schara's 365 kills have her ranked sixth in the state. However, one player cannot be a team's sole source of offense.

Last season, Crown Point had Elisa Algozine flanking Elle Schara. Algozine compiled 270 kills and earned a spot on the Times All-Area Second Team for her efforts. The Bulldogs had other secondary hitters, but Algozine was a hitter the Bulldogs could rely on to get big kills, such as the kill that sent them to semistate.

So, how have the Bulldogs replaced Algozine? It's been a group effort. Payton Cholewa, Camryn Hadt and Natalie Ogrentz rank second, third and fourth for the Bulldogs in kills, combining for 268 kills between the three of them.
