The Florida Gators, before going for a bye week, registered their worst opening stretch since 1986. They are 1-3 after their latest loss against the No.4 Miami Hurricanes by 7-26. Despite the loss, the Gators made Miami struggle at times. Cormani McClain , the redshirt sophomore DB, played a major role in trying to stop Carson Beck. He had three tackles and an interception. Florida Insider also reported that Cormani was Florida’s highest graded player vs Miami, with a PFF grade of 84.9.
Cormani has been slowly increasing his presence on the gridiron. In the four games he has played, the DB has had 136 snaps. In the game against LIU, he logged 29 snaps (18 on defense and 11 on special teams). In the game against USF, he had 43 snaps (32 on defense, and a solo tackle for one-yard loss
