HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. —
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is now investigating after video showed an off-duty Beaufort County sheriff's deputy drawing his firearm during an encounter with a group of boys in his Hilton Head Island neighborhood.

The incident happened Sunday around 6:47 p.m. when Beaufort County sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a disturbance in the community, which is also where the off-duty deputy resides.
Video shared on social media shows the deputy walking toward a group of teenagers, pointing a firearm at them, and ordering them to get on the ground.
