Several hundred people gathered at Lynchburg City Stadium on Sunday night to honor the life of Charlie Kirk, the right-wing political activist assassinated Sept. 10 at a college event in Orem, Utah.

Kirk, 31, had visited Liberty University on numerous occasions, sharing his Christian faith and receiving an honorary degree from the college in 2019, the same year he helped establish its Standing for Freedom Center, formerly the Falkirk Center for Faith and Liberty.

Del.
