Two people have been booked on several charges after they were found unconscious in a vehicle and suspected of using fentanyl with two children also present, Surprise police said Monday.

Officers responded to a welfare check just before midnight Sept. 27 at a parking lot near Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue where they found Keon Sipple and Czarine Madueno in the front seats of a vehicle. There were signs of suspected fentanyl use, including foil with residue and melted straws, according to a Surprise Police Department release.
